It's been a very rainy summer here so far-lots of thunderstorms and power outages. I ran out in the yard and quickly snapped a few shots for a few minutes while the lightning was at bay. This was shot, handheld (no time for a tripod) in pitch black darkness with no light except for the illumination of the clouds by lightning in the distance. The red light trail is from a tower that's in the background. I've always loved thunderstorms!
